E.J. Chicky is an aspiring filmmaker who has recently graduated from George Mason University with a B.F.A. in Film and Video Studies. He has an A.F.A. in Cinema from Northern Virginia Community College. During his time at NOVA, E.J. started out in mechanical engineering but soon realized that that field was not for him. After much self-reflection, he decided to pursue his passion for film, which he had had for as long as he could remember. Once E.J. switched majors, he directed three films, participated in a podcast internship, and received three consecutive presidential scholar awards. At George Mason, he directed a short documentary about his grandfather’s experiences in the Vietnam War. He also directed and co-wrote his senior film, A Warrior’s Wish, which won several awards at the George Mason Film Festival.
